Fradulent charges after cancelled subscription
I signed up for Blinkist through the apple app store. I did a one year subscription and before the end of the year I cancelled the auto-renew because I wasn't using the app often anymore. Several months later Blinkist charged me for an entire year. This was done outside the apple app store and apple's subscriptions. Luckily I caught this erroneous charge while I was going through my credit card statement. I believe this was intentional fraud on the part of Blinkist. I recommend against doing business with this company. There should be an investigation to see if this was a one time mistake or a reoccurring problem indicative of widespread fraud.

I saw ads all over for this, and as someone with a short attention span this seemed perfect. Im not a very tech savvy person but managed to negotiate my way through a subscription for a year. It was a good price, yet when i got it (i assume) there was NO CONFIRMATION EMAIL ...NO ACCOUNT DETAILS SENT TO MY MAIL. Then i open and its pathetic the little amount of 'blinks' im allowed. All the want is a Premium Upgrade.I got cheated into spending my 415 NOK (Norwegian Krone) with them. When I send them a email to get my money back as I think they have a 7 day return policy they send me automated responses and i feel tney are trying to get past the 7 day period so i cant ask for a refund after.
This feels like a total SCAM and a obvious false advertising ploy! BE CAREFULL... GET ACCEESS TO OVER 5000 BOOKS FOR 40% LESS IF YOU TAKE A YEAR SUBSCRIPTION is what they say. But when you subscribe you get access to almost nothing.

I liked what I read about Blinkist and signed up for the trial period. Although it looked good, I decided I'm too busy at the moment to take on more reading. I cancelled before the deadline and Blinkist sent me a confirmation of cancellation. However, they immediately charged my credit card for a year's subscription. I assumed it was just a small error and notified them of the mistake. They have not replied to multiple emails (including to support) to refund my money. My initial good opinion of Blinkist has sunk to one star.

You cannot get a free trial and when you discovered that the platform does not provide the value to you then you had already lost a lot of money.

The service is good, but spamming your email
The service is good, I purchased the premium. But even though I opted not to receive promotions and other emails, I received a "Your Weekly Top Picks" email.
Leaving one start as I really hate it when businesses email you with no good reason.

Greatest thing that has happened to me. Besides having a lot of books in a short form, it changed my lifestyle. I stopped blindly listening to netflix on the background and started listening to books instead.

Same review as others, SCAM!
Same review as others, scam. I was willing to pay monthly and cancel when I felt I did not need it anymore, but after my 7 day trial they charged me $100. There is no customer service number and they are based out of Germany. I had to file a fraudulent charge with my bank. Currently trying to get a refund via email with them. Completely dishonest company. Use another app for your audio book needs. UPDATE: I reached out via email to get a refund. They said they sent me a refund, 3 days later, no refund. I email back, and they say oh, oops, we forgot to send it. We did it now. Then I get a call from my bank asking if I verified a second $100 charge to these guys. Instantly I alerted my bank to fraud and had to cancel my card. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS, It is a SCAM!

Utter crap. Didn’t get the 7 day free trial, charged £9.99 immediately. On top of this, I cannot access any of the books…

THIS IS A SCAM!! I was just charged $106.86 from blinkist, google playstore does not even list blinkist as one of my subscriptions, it is impossible to get account details from blinkist or to cancel this. everything I click on gives me the run around and gets me nowhere, the only thing they offer is a BS customer support email. now I need to call my bank and dispute the charges and order a new debit card.

The instruction for cancelling a free do not work!
The instruction for cancelling a free trial subscription did not work. I contacted the company via email over 5 times -- all I get is a canned email with a linked to cancel --- the same link I tried 6 times. They appear to make it very confusing to cancel to prohibit cancelling!

Appalling service from Blinkist
Appalling service from Blinkist. Unable to remove auto renewal when I had a tech issue with my account. Despite notification two months earlier and numerous emails. They pretend to help but the reality is that they are not interested. You are then trapped. Don’t subscribe.

Two different accounts
I bought the premium account while I subscribed with my appleID not knowing that this was not going to be linked with my account I subscribed first with another E-Mail. Therefore I had two different accounts, one in English with the premium account and one in German with the basic account, which led to two different offers on books. Thanks to the support and the investigation I did on my side the issue was solved very quickly and my premium account was merged and linked to the correct E-Mail address in German.

FRAUDULENT CHARGES
FRAUDULENT CHARGES! I bought Blinkist over a year ago and tried several time to cancel the subscription but it keeps billing me every 3 months!!!! As if it was a coincidence, every time I tried to cancel my membership, the app freezes!
I reported again a problem with the billing and I got charged again for 3months the following day!!! It's outrageous!
AVOID signing up by any means!!

Customer support rep (Marianne) was not only responsive, and courteous, she was very efficient and resolve my problem even if it took a few back and forth. I really appreciated the support and professionalism which reflect quite well on a company which product I already love. Don't change anything!

I posted here about poor customer service and got a reply from them here quite fast, telling me to do what I’ve been doing many times a week since 11/14 - to email customer service. I tried again and still zero response. Unbelievable bad customer service. Profoundly disappointing.
